Carter may have a plan on The Bold and the Beautiful, but getting Steffy to go along with it could be another story. There is a lot at stake. Finn has already made it clear that he has concerns about what Carter is trying to do. Now, Steffy has to think about how far she is willing to go. She needs to decide whether Carter's plan is really worth the risk. Could she ultimately be the one who puts a stop to it?
Steffy Has Everything to Lose
Carter's plan may sound good in theory, but Steffy has to think about what could happen if it goes wrong. This isn't a decision that only affects Carter. Steffy has her marriage, her family, and her friendship with Daphne to consider before she agrees to keep going along with him.
Finn's concerns also give Steffy another reason to question the plan. She knows her husband isn't comfortable with what Carter is trying to do. Ignoring those concerns could easily create major problems at home. Steffy may support Carter, but that doesn't mean she has to risk everything for his scheme.
What Exactly Is the Plan?
Carter's plan is to make everyone believe Steffy is acting as the egg donor and surrogate for him and Daphne. In reality, Steffy is already pregnant following her night with Carter, and they believe Carter is the father.
By passing the pregnancy off as a surrogacy, Carter hopes they can keep what happened between them a secret from Finn and Daphne. Daphne would believe Steffy is carrying a baby for her and Carter. Meanwhile, Finn would have no reason to question why his wife is pregnant. The major problem is that the plan requires Steffy and Carter to keep lying to the people they love most.
This Could Blow Up Two Marriages
The biggest issue with Carter's plan is how many lies it takes to make it work. Finn would believe Steffy is carrying Carter and Daphne's baby. Daphne would believe Steffy is helping her become a mother. Neither of them would know the real reason Steffy is pregnant.
The longer the truth stays hidden, the worse the fallout will be. If Finn and Daphne eventually learn that Carter and Steffy slept together—and then created a massive surrogacy cover-up—the original affair will only be half of the problem.
Will Steffy Put a Stop to Carter’s Plan?
Steffy may have initially agreed to Carter’s plan, but that doesn’t mean she has to see it through. With Finn already questioning the situation and so much at risk, she may decide that keeping the truth hidden simply isn’t worth it.
