Hallmark is getting an early start on Christmas this year. The network has revealed its 2026 holiday movie lineup, with 36 new movies set to premiere throughout the season. Countdown to Christmas begins in October with new premieres continuing through to December
When Does Countdown To Christmas Begin?
Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas officially kicks off on Friday October 16, From there new movies will premiere every Friday, Saturday and Sunday giving viewers three new Christmas movies each weekend throughout the holiday season.
Plenty of Familiar Faces Are Back
Hallmark is bringing back several of its regular stars for the 2026 lineup, including Lacey chabert, Tyler Hynes, Jonathan Bennett and more Staring in different holiday stories this year, with everything from Christmas romances to family stories and mysteries on the schedule.
What Can Viewers Expect This Year ??
The 2026 lineup has a little bit of everything this year.
There are movies sent in small towns, holiday trips, family, reunions, and plenty of Christmas romances.
Hallmark is also bringing back its holiday touchdown series for another NFL inspired movie this time with the Chicago Bears
Some Big Premieres Are on The Way
Among the movies to watch is for Lacey Chabert's new Christmas movie set at Walt Disney World, while Tyler Hines will lead a holiday story involving a time loop.
Johnathan Bennett also returns with a new Christmas movie and the latest holiday touchdown will bring Hallmark Christmas romance formula to Chicago Bears.
It's More Than a Countdown
The holiday schedule also includes new movies for Hallmark Miracles of Christmas and lineup on Hallmark mystery.
Those premieres will run alongside Countdown to Christmas, giving viewers even more movies to choose from throughout November and December.
Hallmark is Going Bigger This Year
This year's Countdown to Christmas includes 34 original movies, 10 more than Hallmark's premiered last year.
The network will roll them out over 10 weeks with most premieres earring at 8 P.M. ET/PT before becoming available to stream on hallmark plus the following day.
There's also more than movies on the schedule with mistletoe murders returning for season three and a special holiday hosted by Johnathan Bennett and Melissa Peterman.
Thanksgiving Weekend is Packed
Hallmark has several new movies lined up for Thanksgiving weekend. Christmas delivered premieres on Thanksgiving night, followed by the Christmas Eve Feast and Return to Santa on Friday.
The weekend also includes Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True, starring Lacey Chabert, and Travis Van winkle, along with miles to Christmas featuring AshleY Williams Steve Lund and Allison Sweeney.
Hallmark isn't slowing down once Thanksgiving weekend is over. (New) movies will continue throughout December, including premieres starring some of the networks familiar faces.
The schedule runs right up to Christmas weekend, so viewers will still have new stories to watch, even after most of the seasons, biggest premieres have aired.

With 36 new movies on the schedule Hallmark viewers will have plenty to watch between October and December.
