The Young and the Restless has seen plenty of cast changes since its premiere back in March 1973, and they are definitely not stopping anytime soon! We have a few casting tidbits lined up, and there is a lot to look forward to.
Cait Fairbanks Returns to the Y&R Set as Tessa Porter
First up, Cait Fairbanks is finally coming back as Tessa Porter! Tessa has been MIA from Genoa City since April, and viewers have been eager to see where things actually stand between her and Mariah (Camryn Grimes). The wait is almost over, as Fairbanks recently posted an on-set selfie confirming she is back in the studio and actively filming scenes that will air in a few weeks.
Patrika Darbo Steps Foot in Genoa City as Shirley Spectra
But the casting updates don't stop there! Look for Patrika Darbo to make her very first in-person appearance on Y&R as Shirley Spectra, Sally's grandmother. Darbo originally debuted as Shirley back in 2017 on The Bold and the Beautiful and previously popped up on Y&R via video call, but this October marks the first time she steps onto the canvas in person.
Ashley Campbell Recast as Coco Spectra
She isn't coming alone, either! Ashley Campbell is taking over the role of Sally's younger sister, Coco Spectra, making her debut this October just in time for Sally and Billy's big wedding. While Coco was originally portrayed by Courtney Grosbeck on B&B, this will mark the character's official arrival in Genoa City.
