Daytime viewers got a delightful shock on Tuesday, October 6, when a very familiar face popped up on CBS’s iconic game show The Price Is Right!
Hudson West—best known to soap fans for his long-running role as Elizabeth Webber’s son, Jake Webber, on General Hospital—traded the high-stakes drama of Port Charles for contestant’s row, and he ended up driving away with one of the show's biggest prizes!
From Contestant's Row to a Brand-New Ride
West kicked off the episode on a high note, getting called down to contestant's row right at the start of the show. He didn't bide his time in the crowd for long—he nailed the very first bid to get up on stage alongside host Drew Carey.
Playing the classic pricing game Any Number, West kept his cool under pressure as he guessed the digits to secure the ultimate prize: a brand-new Kia K4! Supported by his girlfriend in the studio audience, West correctly guessed the vehicle's price tag, sending the audience into absolute cheers as he celebrated his brand-new set of wheels.
While he later took his shot at the Showcase Showdown wheel, another contestant narrowly edged him out from advancing to the final Showcase. Still, leaving the studio with a shiny new ride is a massive win in anyone's book!
A Soap Fan Favorite Returns to Daytime
Soap fans instantly recognized the young actor, who grew up right before viewers' eyes on General Hospital. West stepped into the role of Jake Webber back in 2016, delivering powerful performances as the son of Jason Morgan and Elizabeth Webber during several heavy storylines. He was last seen on the GH canvas in the summer of 2024 before off-screen life and school commitments took center stage.
Watching West make a surprise return to daytime TV—this time as himself, winning big on a legendary game show—was an absolute treat for long-time GH fans who have followed his career for years.
Congratulations to Hudson on an incredible win!
