Congratulations are in order for The Bold and the Beautiful star Matthew Atkinson and his wife, actress Brytnee Ratledge.
The couple recently shared the announcement of their second child together on social media with a photo of Ratledge showing off her growing baby bump. They also revealed that they are expecting a baby girl, captioning the post, "Baby Girl Atkinson Loading."
A Growing Family
The new addition will make the couple a family of four.
Atkinson and Ratledge got married in November 2023 and welcomed their first child, a son, the following year. Now, they are preparing to welcome a daughter and begin the next chapter of family life.
Where is Matthew Atkinson?
While life is busy off-screen, many fans wonder when Atkinson will return as Thomas Forrester.
Atkinson joined the soap in 2019 and quickly became a key part of the series through his character's complicated relationships with Hope Logan, Ridge Forrester, and the rest of the Forrester family.
Thomas eventually left Los Angeles for Paris, where he accepted a position with Forrester International. Since then, Atkinson has appeared only occasionally, returning when the story called for Thomas' involvement.
His most recent appearances came during the fallout involving Ridge and Brooke, before heading back to Paris.
Could Thomas Return?
Though Thomas is no longer appearing regularly, he remains an active part of the show's world. His career in Paris gives the writers an easy way to bring him back whenever and however they need.
But for now, Atkinson's biggest role is becoming a father of two, as he and Ratledge prepare to welcome their daughter.
