Kelly Sullivan is heading back to daytime television. According to TV Insider, the former General Hospital and The Young and the Restless actress has joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful as Darcy Dylan, the mother of Dylan.

Darcy Dylan Arrives in Los Angeles

Sullivan’s casting expands Dylan's family tree, which has continued to grow in recent weeks. After viewers learned that Remy Price is Dylan's cousin, Darcy's arrival adds another crucial piece to the character's backstory.

Her debut comes as tension continues to rise between the Spencer and Forrester families. At the same time, Katie Logan has become increasingly wary of the new woman in Will Spencer's life. This raises questions about whether Katie's instincts are spot-on or if she is simply being overly protective.

How Darcy fits into the ongoing drama—and whether she becomes involved in the brewing conflict—remains to be seen.

A Familiar Face Returns

Sullivan is well known to soap fans for several memorable daytime roles. She portrayed Sage Warner on The Young and the Restless from 2014 to 2016, where Sage's emotional storyline ended with the character's tragic death.

Before arriving in Genoa City, Sullivan starred on General Hospital as Kate Howard and Connie Falconeri. In addition to her daytime work, she has appeared in primetime series, including The Morning Show and Chicago P.D.

The wait isn’t long, as Sullivan is set to debut as Darcy Dylan on August 27.
