The Young and the Restless star Eileen Davidson has landed a new acting role that will take her from daytime television to the New York stage. The actress, who plays Ashley Abbott on the CBS soap, is set to appear in an Off-Broadway production.
Davidson, who appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from 2014 to 2018, is among several former Real Housewives stars joining the 2027 production of Neil Simon's comedy Rumors, which will also feature Days of Our Livesalum Lisa Rinna.
Eileen Davidson Heads to the Stage
Davidson will play Claire Ganz in Rumors, with performances scheduled from March 2 through April 21, 2027, at the Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space in New York City.
The comedy follows several couples attending an anniversary dinner party that takes an unexpected turn when they discover their host has been injured and his wife is missing.
The guests attempt to keep the situation quiet, leading to a series of misunderstandings.
Lisa Rinna Is Also Joining the Production
Davidson isn't the only daytime television actress heading to the New York stage.
Lisa Rinna, who played Billie Reed on Days of Our Lives, is also part of the production.
She is scheduled to perform from January 9 through February 28, 2027.
Although both actresses are appearing in Rumors, they will perform with separate casts during different runs of the production.
What About The Young and the Restless?
Davidson has played Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless since 1982, although she has stepped away from the role at different points throughout her career.
For now, there has been no announcement suggesting that Davidson's upcoming theater engagement will affect her appearances on The Young and the Restless.
Her run in Rumors is scheduled to begin in March 2027.
