It will air on CBS and will also be available to stream on Paramount+ with season 5 leaving fans with plenty of questions, the special gives us another trip to Woodstone mansion, before the new season begins.
What is The Halloween Special About?
The two part Halloween special is titled "Halloween 6: The Mirror".
This time the trouble at Woodstone centers around a mirror continuing the short tradition of using Halloween to bring something supernatural into Sam and Jay's already ghost filled House.
CBS hasn't revealed every detail about what the mirror will bring, which leaves the biggest question unanswered: what exactly happens when it arrives at Woodstone?.
With the story spread across two episodes, whatever goes wrong won't be resolved quickly.
Season 6 Returns in 2027
After the Halloween special, fans will still have to wait for the regular season. Ghosts season 6 is scheduled to return as part of CBS's midseason 2027 lineup. The Halloween episodes are separate from the show's regular weekly run so viewers shouldn't expect new episodes every Thursday immediately afterwards.
A Christmas Special is Coming Too
Halloween won't be the only time Ghosts returns before its regular 2027 run. CBS has also scheduled an overlong Christmas special for Thursday, December 10 that gives fans another two episodes later in the year before season six resumes with its regular schedule in 2027.
Ghosts is Ready For Halloween
Fans won't have to wait until 2027 to see Sam, Jay, and the ghosts again. The Halloween special arrives October 29, followed by the Christmas event in December and the regular season in 2027.
